Home to the University of Georgia's gymnastics team and men's and women's basketball teams, historic Stegeman Coliseum, built in 1961, received a dramatic $11-million renovation and expansion.

A striking feature of the renovation alters the look of the exterior with the use of structural-steel bow trusses that allow for a facade made entirely of glass. Outer walls, built through the use of butt-glazed glass panes, are moved to the end of the building's hat-rim roof overhang. In addition to creating the appearance of a floating glass wall, the design adds 10,000 sq ft to the complex. The facility now features video interactivity for an upgraded fan experience.
