MEB General Contractors of Chesapeake, Va., was awarded a $22.3-million contract for replacement of fuel storage tanks at the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center in Jacksonville. The contract was awarded by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast.

The project will replace old fuel tanks and is set for completion in 2012. MEB will demolish seven above-grade fuel storage tanks and construct five new 80,000-barrel tanks. The existing underground piping will be replaced with a new above-grade system.
