Evergreen Construction joined officials from Fulton County Schools, Parsons Corp. and Collins Cooper Carusi Architects to break ground for the new $12.5-million Feldwood Road Elementary School in College Park.
The 116,284-sq-ft school represents the project team’s fifth collaboration. The Collins Cooper Carusi design features a central exterior courtyard bordered by classroom wings. The steel-framed structure is clad with a brick veneer and will feature 54 instructional units, including 42 regular classrooms, media center, gymnasium, cafetorium and administrative spaces.
The project is scheduled for completion in August of 2010.
