Diocese of the Armenian Church to Build New Sanctuary

Orlando-based R.C. Stevens Construction Co. was awarded a contract with the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America to construct its new 8,000-sq-ft sanctuary, St. Garabed in Winter Garden.

St. Garabed Armenian Church incorporates an old-world appearance of traditional Armenian churches along with modern technologies. The main sanctuary has a 60-ft-tall domed ceiling and includes a 3,100-sq-ft social activity center and office for clergy and staff.

Construction will be split face CMU with a structural steel frame for the dome. Roof structure is light gauge metal trusses with a standing seam metal roof.
