Skanska USA in Atlanta hired Trisha Newton as business development manager and John Jambro as project executive.
Newton will focus her efforts on the higher education and government sectors. She previously worked in a related business development position at The Facility Group in Marietta, Ga.
Jambro will oversee the Atlanta office's higher-education sector, managing design, construction, personnel and client relations. He has 15 years experience in the construction industry, and previously worked as senior program manager/director for higher education at The Facility Group.
The St. Joe Co. of Jacksonville, Fla., named Hugh M. Durden as chairman of its board of directors. He replaces Peter S. Rummell, who is departing JOE to become CEO of the Nicklaus Cos.
Pierre Rousseau was promoted to director of operations in the Orlando office of Boyken International, a program management and consulting firm. He will provide overall direction and administration of staff for all projects.
He previously served as director of Caribbean operations.
Steve Lewis was promoted to chief executive officer of United Forming, in Austell, Ga. Lewis first joined UFI in its Orlando office in 2001. Prior to his recent promotion, he served as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
Kerry Borders was promoted to director of operations for GLE Associates in Atlanta. Borders was previously the environmental department manager for GLE’s Atlanta office. She has been working for GLE since 2003.
Also, Timir Shah has joined GLE Associates in Orlando as a civil engineer. He has a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Mumbai in India. He previously worked as a project engineer for Law & Associates in Orlando.
Scott Case has joined engineering firm Eisman & Russo of Jacksonville, Fla., as vice president of southwest Florida operations. He will be responsible for Eisman & Russo’s business development initiatives as the company focuses on increasing its presence in the southwest Florida market.
Steve Foushee has joined Warren and Associates Design-Build in Greenville, S.C., as project manager. Foushee is a graduate of Clemson University. He previously was a project manager with Mashburn Construction in Columbia, S.C.
Jeff Davis has been promoted to superintendent for Birmingham, Ala.-based M.J. Harris. Davis is currently working on several projects in Anderson, S.C.
Also, Jeff Hendricks was promoted to assistant project manager. He is currently working in Davenport, Fla.
Shannon Miller was appointed executive director of the Central Florida chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. A 10-year Orlando commercial real estate veteran, Miller previously held executive management positions with Panattoni Development Co. and Carter Commercial Real Estate.
Patrick Conran was promoted to vice president of operations for Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. in Fort Myers, Fla. Additionally, he will continue his role as general superintendent.
Brian Wetherington was promoted to general superintendent for Suffolk Construction’s Miami business unit. A five-year employee of West Palm Beach-based Suffolk Construction, he has 17 years of construction industry experience.
Hannah W. Muchnick and Amandi J. Rhett have joined Newcomb & Boyd of Atlanta as mechanical engineers. Muchnick holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Rhett also has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Previously, she was a design engineer with Pennoni Associates in Philadelphia.
Also, Peter J. Ralston has joined the firm as an audio-visual engineer. He is a recent graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Brian J. DuChene was named senior principal facilities engineer for the Orlando office of MACTEC Engineering and Consulting. He has been with MACTEC for 20 years.
Samuel Fischbein and Jorge Fernandez were promoted to associate with consulting firm Miller Legg’s Miami office. Both Fischbein and Fernandez work as senior project managers of surveying.
In Pembroke Pines, Fla., the firm promoted Jose Acosta to senior associate. Acosta works as director of engineering.
Edward Zastro has joined Navigant Consulting’s Tampa construction practice as associate director. Zastro has more than 18 years of construction industry experience.
Carlisle Cos. of Charlotte, N.C., appointed Carol P. Lowe as president of Trail King Industries. Trail King is Carlisle’s specialty heavy-haul trailer manufacturer. Mrs. Lowe will continue to serve as vice president and chief financial officer of Carlisle until November 1. She joined Carlisle in 2002 as treasurer and was appointed vice president and chief financial officer in 2004.
Also, Steven J. Ford was named vice president and chief financial officer of Carlisle, effective November 1. He joined Carlisle in 1995 as vice president, general counsel and secretary.

Pete Garcia has joined Stevens Construction of Fort Myers, Fla., as superintendent. He has 35 years of construction experience.
Brian Davis was promoted to project manager for Coastal Mechanical Services. He has been with Coastal Mechanical for more than 14 years, and most recently served as project engineer.
Jason Houck has joined Inwood Consulting Engineers in Oviedo, Fla., as an environmental scientist. His primary responsibilities include environmental resource permitting, wildlife consultation, wetland delineation and assessment, and mitigation planning and design.
