Wyatt T. Dixon III has joined Atlanta-based multifamily real estate firm Lane Co. as Carolinas development partner. He will be responsible for sourcing and developing deals in markets including North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. He will be based in Charlotte.

Dixon comes to Lane from Faison Enterprises, where he was managing director of development.

K.P. Pezeshkan has been named vice president of Naples, Fla.-based Kraft Construction Co. He will oversee marketing and business development for all offices. He joined Kraft as a full-time employee in 1996, and has worked in the construction industry for more than 13 years.


Aloysius Miller was named vice president Gilbane Building Co. in Norcross, Ga. Miller has been a Gilbane employee for 23 years and currently serves as regional operations manager in the company’s Southeast region, which includes Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Alabama.


T.A. “Bud” Wilfore was promoted to chief operating officer for Yancey Bros. Co., the Atlanta-based Caterpillar equipment dealer serving Georgia. He will be responsible for managing all five company divisions.

Wilfore joined Yancey Bros. Co. in 1989 and most recently served as executive vice president.

Karen McGuire has joined Calvin, Giordano & Associates of Fort Lauderdale as a senior transportation planner in the firm’s transportation planning and traffic engineering division. She will oversee comprehensive transportation planning projects for various municipalities in Broward and Palm Beach counties.


The Atlanta office of Beck announced the promotions of Steve Collins and Bill Hicks to project executives.  Hicks has been with Beck for 26 years, and Collins for 30 years.
The company also announced the hiring of Jeff Landefeld as chief estimator and Nova Witkowski as a senior project manager.

Witkowski comes to Beck from GMK Associates in Columbia, S.C. She will focus on health-care projects in the Atlanta metro area. Landefeld previously spent three years at Manhattan Construction in its education, health-care and multi-family practices.

Larry Strickland was appointed director of Boyken International’s Orlando office. He will provide overall direction and administration of staff. Strickland has more than 35 years of industry experience.


Destination design firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo of Orlando has hired Alex Betancourt and Fedaa El-Dosougi as senior project managers.

Betancourt has more than 25 years of industry experience, while El-Dosougi has more than 22 years of experience.

Reynolds, Smith and Hills of Jacksonville has promoted Dr. Paul Hutchins to vice president in its aerospace and defense program. He has been with RS&H since 1978 and serves as program leader for the Jacksonville office.


Sean Cross has joined the Durham, N.C., office of Skanska USA Building as the firm’s senior project manager for the Carolinas and Virginia. He is a 22-year veteran of the construction industry, and previously worked with Bovis Lend Lease.


Mark Anthony “Tony” Hayes was promoted to safety director at Concorde Construction Co. in Charlotte, N.C. Hayes has more than 24 years of experience and is a project superintendent for Concorde Construction.

The company also announced it has hired Ned Conley as a project superintendent and Sue Colvin as administrative assistant.

Michael Powers, an architect and construction manager, has joined Leopardo Construction in Charleston, S.C., as a project manager. Powers has more than 25 years of experience in all areas of construction.


Naples, Fla.-based Gates announced several personnel appointments. Stuart G. Weisburgh, with more than 30 years of construction experience, was hired as a superintendent. Also, 14-year industry veteran Marco Petretta was hired as a project manager. Also, the company hired Lisa Corbin as an executive assistant.


Scott Wallick has joined Longwood, Fla.-based Comprehensive Energy Services as vice president of statewide service operations. Wallick is a 31-year veteran of the commercial HVAC and building automation industries.


Colby Eason has been promoted to project manager by the Florida division of Clancy & Theys Construction Co., Orlando. Eason has nine years of construction industry experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Oklahoma State University.


Brian Mulligan was named director of business development for Sharpe Construction of Buford, Ga. Mulligan has more than 23 years of experience in marketing, public relations and news information positions related to the construction industry. 

Prior to joining Sharpe, he spent 18 years with Reed Construction Data.

Mike Clark was named office manager for Alpharetta, Ga.-based MACTEC Engineering & Consulting’s branch office in Columbia, S.C.

He has more than 30 years of water resources engineering expertise.

George Botner has joined Miller Legg, a consulting services firm based in Pembroke Pines, Fla., as regional service manager for landscape architecture in the firm’s South Florida office.

Also, Paul Mann recently rejoined Miller Legg as a certified arborist and senior environmental specialist and will work from the company’s environmental field office in Sarasota County.

Additionally, John Tessier joined the firm as a biologist in the Palm Beach office, where he will perform investigations on biological and ecological impacts affecting both public and private projects.

The firm also announced that the following were promoted to the position of senior associate: Kelly Eger – vice president of human resources and manager of the Central Florida Office in Winter Park; Darren Badore – manager of the Fort Lauderdale office; Michael Schwartz – manager of engineering in West Palm Beach; and Delroy Falloon – survey field crew manager in Pembroke Pines.

The following were promoted to the position of associate: Brian Shore – landscape architect; Thomas Snow – survey regional manager; and Edward Grady – senior construction specialist.

George F. Aragon has joined Mainstream Construction Group of Altamonte Springs, Fla., as chief estimator. He has 20 years of construction experience.


Kolter Communities of West Palm Beach has announced that James Harvey has been named president of Kolter Land Partners-East in the company’s St. Petersburg office.


The architecture firm Randolph C. Henning, Architect has relocated to Lewisville, N.C., after almost 15 years in nearby Winston-Salem.
