Stephen A. Touchton has been
promoted from president to chief executive officer of R.J.
Griffin & Co. of Atlanta. Former CEO R.J. "Jim"
Griffin Jr. remains as chairman.
Touchton was one of the company's three founding principals.
He started in 1985 as executive vice president and chief financial
officer. He was named president in 2002.
F. Fred Pezeshkan was appointed
chairman of Kraft Construction Co.
of Naples, Fla. Pezeshkan, who will continue to serve as CEO,
succeeds Robert L. Carsello, who is retiring.
The company also announced a new organizational structure,
including several appointments. John
Pinholster was promoted to president. Thomas
Williams, executive vice president, will be responsible
for administration of contracts and purchasing functions.
Thomas Abraham, senior vice
president, was promoted to chief operating officer. Travis
Coulter, a senior vice president, was promoted to chief
preconstruction officer. Philip Teige
will remain as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Robert Koenig and James
Clemens were promoted to senior vice presidents and
area managers.
Duane Gapinski has joined HDR
as East region federal programs deputy director in the firm's
Charlotte office. Prior to joining HDR, he was a commander
with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Rock Island District.
In Jacksonville, HDR has promoted Tom
Atkins, and hired Sunshine Bullock,
Carl Morey and Mark
Roberts.
Atkins, a vice president, was promoted to marketing manager
from planning group business leader. Bullock was hired as
a landscape architect, Morey was named rail services principal
and Roberts as solid waste senior project manager.
Stephen R. Wiggins was named
an associate partner at Newcomb &
Boyd in Atlanta.
Also, the following were named senior associates: Donald
Latham Jr., James Stephney III, Walter Tanner and Justin Ziegler.
Jonathan Bair, Joshua Brisbane, Philip Bumgarner, Matthew
Eason, Van Johnson, Michael Lodge, Kasey Mitchell, Julia Neville
and Max Shirley were
named associates.
Stephanie Kirkpatrick has returned
to Niles Bolton Associates of
Atlanta as a principal, assisting with interior design, firm-wide
branding and business development.
Lee Dowden has joined Reynolds,
Smith & Hills in Tampa as a senior project manager
in the firm's highway services group.
Bob Alderman has joined the
Jacksonville, Fla., office of HNTB
as associate vice president. He has more than 17 years
of infrastructure project experience.
Gerald Chill, project manager,
and H. Tim Hinton, project surveyor,
have joined WilsonMiller's North
Tampa/Pasco office. Both previously worked with the Florida
Department of Transportation.
Robert Vella has joined architectural
firm C.T. Hsu + Associates of
Orlando as senior construction administrator. He most recently
served as a senior project manager for PMA Consultants.
Raul C. Perez was named associate
vice president for Garcia Stromberg.
Perez will work in the architecture firm's Stuart, Fla., offices.
Lawrence LaBonte was promoted
to project manager at Mainstream Construction
Group in Altamonte Springs.
C. Matthew Jones has joined
the Pembroke Pines, Fla., office of consulting firm Miller
Legg as project engineer.
Jose Luis Rosado, Jr. has joined
Boyken International in Orlando
as an assistant project manager. He will provide program development
services.
Holly A. Duke has joined Clancy
& Theys Construction Co. of Orlando as director
of marketing/communications.
Thomas A. Hall was promoted
to associate at McMahon Associates,
a transportation engineering and planning firm in Fort Lauderdale.
Hall is general manager of the Fort Lauderdale office and
acting general manager of the Fort Myers and Miami offices.
Andrew Adams has joined the
Orlando office of Community Engineering
Services as a project engineer.
Dave Cote was promoted to vice
president of operations at Andrew General
Contractors in Orlando.
Ken Curcio and Steve
Pritchard were named senior project managers in the
Tampa office of Tri-City Electrical
Contractors. Also, Scott Henderson
was promoted to project manager and Mark
Lamonte to multifamily superintendent. Additionally,
Tim Adams was transferred to
Tri-City's Tampa estimating department from the Altamonte
Springs office.
Tilt-Con Corp. of Orlando announced
the following appointments: John Ball
as draftsman; Etta Keserich
as accounts payable II; Allison West
as marketing/public relations assistant; and Carlos
Aguera and Michael Samuleman
as project managers in its Tamarac, Fla., office.
David Thomas will serve as
Hanson Roof Tile's emerging
market manager for Georgia and the Carolinas. Thomas will
work in Huntersville, N.C.
