Randy Larson, national service director for construction for PBS&J of Tampa, was inducted as president of the Construction Management Association of America during the organization's recent national conference and trade show in Tampa. Larson has been a CMAA board member and officer since 2003.

CMAA's membership of 4,000 represents construction management practitioners, public and private owners, designers, contractors, attorneys, insurers, services consultants, educators and students.

A PBS&J employee since 1987, Larson oversees the firm's construction activities nationwide and serves on the board of directors for PBS&J.

In other company news, Florida Chamber of Commerce Chair Bob White presented John B. Zumwalt III, chairman and CEO of Tampa-based PBS&J, with the Chair's Award at the Florida Chamber's recent annual meeting.


Michael N. Regan was appointed chief financial officer at The St. Joe Co. of Jacksonville, Fla., replacing Anthony M. Corriggio, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities.

Regan had previously been the company's senior vice president, finance and planning, since 1997 and served as interim CFO from 1998 to 1999.


Donald L. Feather has joined the Orlando office of Skanska USA Building as senior vice president. In this capacity, he will be responsible for the health-care and corporate commercial markets, as well as for developing design-build opportunities.

Feather has 32 years of construction experience, and previously served as a vice president with The Haskell Co. in Jacksonville, Fla.


William J. Meloche has joined FMI's Utilities Market Group in Raleigh, N.C., as a consultant. Meloche has consulting experience in the field of internal communications for strategic transitions.


Fred Fulmer has joined Warren and Associates Design-Build in Greenville, S.C., as director of preconstruction services. Fulmer has more than 30 years of construction industry experience. He previously work with Suitt Construction Co., now BE&K Building Group.


Jim Orlando was named president and partner of DooleyMack Constructors of South Florida in Fort Lauderdale. Orlando joined the company in 2005 as a project executive, and has 30 years of construction experience.

Also, Tim Lynch was named executive vice president of DooleyMack's South Florida division. He has been with the company for 16 years.

DooleyMack Constructors is based in Sarasota, Fla., and works nationally.


Daniel R. Richardson has joined Charlotte-based Rodgers Builders as senior estimator. Richardson earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and is a LEED-accredited professional with more than seven years of construction experience.

Also, Michael C. Williams was promoted to senior estimator. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Williams also is a LEED-accredited professional with more than nine years of construction experience.


Paula McMichael has joined WilsonMiller as a planner in the firm's Fort Myers, Fla., office. McMichael is part of the firm's development planning and approvals corporate business.

WilsonMiller also welcomed planners James R. Palma and Lisa K. Dewey to its Tampa office. Palma has more than 10 years of experience in planning and planning-related analysis. Dewey earned a master's degree in urban and regional planning at the University of Florida, where she won the Ulla B. Rydberg Award earlier this year.

Also, Margaret C. Perry was named WilsonMiller's Southwest Florida leader of development planning and approvals in the firm's Naples, Fla., office. Perry joined WilsonMiller in 1993.


Hardin Construction Co. of Atlanta recently announced several promotions. Dean Killen, a 23-year company veteran, was named general superintendent. He previously worked as senior superintendent.

Also, Michael Janssen, who has been with Hardin for 18 years, was promoted to senior superintendent. Chris Bell, with the company since 2004, and Kyle Taylor, who first joined Hardin in 2002, were named project managers.

Brody Koopmans and Mike Pirtle were each promoted to the position of superintendent.


Jennifer Melton has joined Orlando-based HuntonBrady Architects. Melton specializes in the planning design of biomedical research facilities and laboratories.

A graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in architecture and structural engineering, Melton has more than 12 years of architectural experience.


Tina M. Laws of Community Asphalt Corp., Miami, was installed as 2006-2007 president of the Greater Palm Beach Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction.

Other chapter officers include: vice president - Naomi Stevenson, of Maschmeyer Concrete Co. of Florida; recording secretary - Miriam Colen of W.G. Mills; corresponding secretary - Anne Desormier-Cartwright, Esq.; and treasurer - Carol Bell, Team Construction Corp.


Terri-Ann Gomes was named business manager of ep3, an environmental engineering firm in Winter Park, Fla. Gomes is responsible for overall office administration, accounting functions, client billing, and oversight of scheduling client reports.

Also, Lydia Wing, a founder of the firm, was named vice president and principal geologist.


Cory Dayton and Aaron White were named principals at the national engineering firm Walter P. Moore's Tampa office.


Ryan Sinclair was promoted to project manager at Mainstream Construction Group in Altamonte Springs, Fla. Sinclair has more than six years of experience managing commercial construction projects.


Bob Duross was appointed senior project manager in charge of the new Panhandle office for Tri-City Electrical Contractors.


John E. Allard has joined the Fort Myers, Fla., office of Community Engineering Services as a project manager. Allard previously worked as a project manager and CADD designer for a Naples engineering firm, and prior to that as surveying manager for a Fort Myers survey company.

The company also added Shara Nielsen as a civil engineering intern in the Fort Myers office. Nielsen is working part-time at CES while finishing her civil-engineering studies through the University of South Florida's online program.


Francine Stessel was named director of marketing and business development at Garcia Stromberg, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based architecture firm. With more than 15 years of experience, Stessel was previously director of sales and marketing for South Florida magazine prior to joining Garcia Stromberg.


Bryan J. Shroyer has joined Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. of Naples, Fla., as a project manager for its Southwest Florida operations.


Tony Noles was named lead architect for the Pensacola, Fla., office of Fort Lauderdale-based Adache Group Architects.


Tyler Patak has joined Harvard Jolly Architects in Fort Myers. He has more than 25 years of experience in architecture, planning and construction management.


James U. Hughes was named project manager at MACTEC Engineering & Consulting of Kennesaw, Ga. He has more than 38 years of transportation construction management experience.

Also, Mark McClain was named principal scientist/project manager at MACTEC. He has more than 26 years of experience.


John M. Vandy was named president and COO of the North American construction equipment division for Suwanee, Ga.-based Doosan Infracore America. Previously, Vandy was president of Parts International Network and held management positions at various companies including Case Corp., Terex Corp. and Manitowoc Crane Group.

Doosan Infracore America Corp., formerly known as Daewoo Heavy Industries America Corp., services a network of Doosan Daewoo dealers in North America.


Ioana Good was named marketing manager for Tilt-Con Corp. of Orlando. Good holds a master's degree in corporate communications from Rollins College and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northeastern University. She has five years of experience in the geotechnical and commercial development fields.


Michael J. Sundquist has been hired as assistant project manager of the operations department at Roger B. Kennedy of Altamonte Springs, Fla. He has more than nine years of management, estimating and scheduling experience.
