Keith Hedrick was named president
of the Southeast division of Raleigh, N.C.-based Martin Marietta.
In this new role, Hedrick will be responsible for operations
in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Hedrick started his
career with Martin Marietta in 1968 and most recently served
as regional vice president/general manager of the South Atlantic
region.
Martin Marietta is the nation's second largest producer of
construction aggregates and a leading producer of magnesia-based
chemical products.
Terrance M. Horomanski has
joined Rodgers Builders of Charlotte as vice president of
operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in the
construction industry. Horomanski is currently supervising
the company's Pennybyrn at Maryfield Continuing Care Retirement
Community project in High Point, N.C., and the Greenville
Memorial Hospital Diagnostic and Treatment Pavilion project
in Greenville, S.C.
Mark D. Oural has joined HDR of Tampa as a senior project
manager. He will provide senior engineering design support
to the firm's water business practice throughout Florida.
Rick M. Maxian was promoted to studio leader and named an
associate with Randall-Paulson Architects of Roswell, Ga.
The firm also named Kiley S. Green and Leslie C. Carruth as
associates.
Dan Tintner was promoted to
senior vice president of engineering at Miller
Legg, a consulting firm based in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
Tintner has been with the firm for 17 years and oversees the
engineering departments of Miller Legg's six offices.
Leslie Hernandez was promoted to chief financial officer.
A veteran of the company for nearly 12 years, Hernandez most
recently served as vice president of finance and administration.
Also, Dylan Larson was promoted to principal. Larson has
been with the firm for 12 years, and will continue to lead
the firm's office in West Palm Beach.
Eric Czerniejewski, senior project manager of engineering,
was named "Young Engineer of the Year" by the Broward
branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Richard Leone has been named
office manager for the Raleigh, N.C., office of MACTEC
Engineering & Consulting, based in Alpharetta,
Ga. Prior to this appointment, Leone served in a similar capacity
in the firm's Greensboro, N.C., office.
Southern Construction Group of Orlando hired Mike Wiley as
project manager; Brad Jackson, preconstruction manager; and
Jim Bolar, project superintendent.
Wiley has 30 years of experience in the aviation, educational,
industrial and commercial/office industries. Jackson has 20
years of experience in the senior living, multi-family and
hospitality industries, and Bolar has nearly 40 years of industry
experience.
Tonja Stewart and Raymund F. Fano recently joined WilsonMiller's
North Tampa/Pasco office. Stewart is a senior project manager
with the company. Fano is a project engineer.
Brian Schmitt and Brad
Kunz have joined Hennessy Construction
Services as project manager. Schmitt will work out
of the company's St. Petersburg, Fla., offices, while Kunz
will work from Sarasota. Schmitt previously worked at Walbridge
Aldinger in Tampa. Kunz comes to Hennessy after serving as
assistant project manager at The Weitz Co. of Des Moines,
Iowa.
Roepnack Corp. of Pompano Beach, Fla., hired Charlie Wagenheim
as project manager/estimator and Gary Feldman as project coordinator.
Additionally, the company hired Mike Inman, William Lynch
and John Young as superintendents.
Michael Hettenbach was promoted to senior estimator at Palmer
Electric Co.'s commercial division in Winter Park, Fla. Hettenbach
has 17 years of industry experience and has been with Palmer
Electric for four years.
Jacob Schaible has joined Community Engineering Services
of Fort Myers, Fla., as a CADD technician. He'll support the
firm's surveying team.
Leo Vecellio, Jr., chairman,
president and CEO of The Vecellio Groupin West Palm Beach,
was appointed senior vice chairman of the American
Road and Transportation Builders Association. C.
Michael Walton, Ph.D. and E.H.
Cockrell Centennial Chair in engineering at the University
of Texas at Austin, was named ARTBA chairman.
Individuals from the Southeast that were elected to a three-year
term on ARTBA's board of directors included: Linda Figg, president
of Figg Engineering Group, Tallahassee, Fla.; and Ward Nye,
president and COO of Martin Marietta Materials, Raleigh, N.C.
Gary Kreisler has joined American Surveying and Mapping of
Winter Park, Fla., as vice president of marketing. Kreisler,
with more than 25 years of experience in Central Florida construction,
formerly served as regional marketing director for the Orlando
division of Clancy and Theys Construction Co.
Charles E. Perry, Jr. was elected president and CEO of EMC
Engineering Services, a consulting engineering firm based
in Savannah, Ga.
Kathy Evans has joined Christiano Construction Co. of Clearwater,
Fla., as project manager. Evans has more than 30 years of
experience in the construction industry and has worked as
an independent homebuilder, facility manager, project engineer
and project manager.
Patrick Childers has joined the building systems commissioning
department of Orlando-based BCA Consulting & Design Engineers
as director of commissioning services.
Rex Moon has joined The ADP Group of Sarasota, Fla., as a
project designer. He has more than 20 years of design experience.
Jeff Geiger was promoted to senior project manager at Coastal
Mechanical Services of Melbourne, Fla. Geiger has been with
the company for 21 years.
Scott Roberts was appointed named preconstruction associate
at Tilt-Con Corp. in Orlando. He will support the company's
activities in Central and North Florida.
Karin Kubany was named marketing
assistant for Boyken International
in Orlando. Kubany will oversee the development of marketing
and sales materials and provide support for business development
activities.
Nicole Salvia has joined the Jacksonville, Fla., office of
Batson-Cook Co. as marketing coordinator.
Mike Smith, an intern architect with Hunton Brady Architects
of Orlando, has earned a Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design (LEED) accreditation from the United States Green Building
Council. Smith serves as an intern architect on the firm's
health-care projects.
Ellis & Associates of Jacksonville, Fla., recently hired
Fredrick Green and Troy Lantzas senior technicians. Additionally,
the engineering firm hired the following as technicians: Adam
Jackson, Edwin Littles, Kenneth Miller and William Price.
Additionally, Kathleen Gaal was hired as a project coordinator,
and Andrew Richter was hired as a driller helper. Jessica
Rainey and Taya Ball joined the administration department.
