HNTB Corp. announced numerous new staff
members to its Lake Mary office.
Anil Sharma, who recently graduated
from the University of Florida with a master's degree in transportation
engineering, was named project engineer in the highway department.
Also in the highway department, Brian
Iezzi was hired as a technician III. Iezzi has more
than 12 years experience in civil, structural and environmental
project development.
Also, Matthew Matin joined
the firm as a transportation planner. Matin has more than
five years of experience in transportation planning, concept/feasibility
studies, traffic impact analysis and travel demand modeling.
In Fort Lauderdale, Bruce Seiler
was named vice president and Southeast division construction
engineering and inspection service leader. Seiler joins HNTB
after 17 years as director of operations with the Florida
Turnpike Enterprise.
In Tampa, John Martel was named
associate vice president and transportation department manager.
Martel comes from the firm's corporate headquarters in Kansas
City, Mo., where he was a project manager in the highway design
department.
Additionally, Maria Ehrlich,
HNTB's Southeast division senior public relations specialist,
was honored with an "Award of Distinction" from
the Orlando Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association
in recognition of her 2005 public relations plan.
Ken East was named vice president
of the school division of Coastal Construction
Co., a subsidiary of Miami-based Coastal Construction
Group. East will be responsible for overseeing the construction
development of the company's academic projects. East most
recently served as a disaster recovery consultant and interim
facilities director for the St. Lucie County school district.
Chris Johnston and James
Coe were named vice presidents in the Atlanta office
of Syska Hennessy Group. Johnston
will serve as chief engineer for the firm's critical facilities
team, which provides services for data centers, trading floors,
manufacturing facilities and hypercritical business facilities.
Coe will oversee the firm's Southeast region, including offices
in Atlanta, Charlotte and Jacksonville. He will be responsible
for expanding the critical facilities team's practice.
Andrés E. Núñez
Jr. has joined CH2M Hill
of Tampa as a senior transportation engineer and regional
market segment leader for highway and bridge projects in the
Southeast. His responsibilities will include business development,
project delivery and staff management.
Prior to joining CH2M HILL, Núñez was a founding
principal of TEI Engineers and Planners, which in 2004 became
part of HNTB Corp. He has more than 29 years of managerial,
planning and engineering-related experience.
Jeff Martineau was promoted
to district manager overseeing PSI's
environmental services departments in Orlando, Miami and Fort
Myers. Martineau has been with PSI since 1993.
The firm also appointed John Sansone
as the primary principal consultant for the construction
materials testing service line in PSI's Celebration and Orlando
offices.
PSI also hired Darek Brandt
as a staff engineer.
Andrew G. Spencer has joined
the Florida division of Clancy &
Theys Construction Co. in Orlando as project manager.
Spencer has 24 years of experience in project management and
design and holds a degree in electrical engineering from the
Georgia Institute of Technology.
Donald R. Deis was promoted
to program manager for PBS&J's
Jacksonville environmental sciences team. Deis will be responsible
for overseeing and coordinating environmental sciences and
staff in the areas of research and assessment.
He has 29 years of environmental sciences experience.
Scott Case has joined Parsons
Brinckerhoff Construction Services in Tampa as a senior
construction engineer. He has 14 years of roadway and bridge
construction experience.
Also, Jeff Cole has rejoined
the firm's Tampa office as quality assurance/quality control
manager. He has 21 years of civil construction experience.
Charlene A. Stroehlen was named
principal water resource engineer at MACTEC's
Tampa office. Stroehlen has more than 25 years of experience
in water resource-related disciplines.
Debra Hempel joined HDR
as a community planning and urban design manager in
Tampa. Her responsibilities include coordinating national
marketing activities and coordinating all multi-disciplinary
planning and urban design projects involving large design
charrettes.
In HDR's Charleston office, Jack R.
Miller was promoted to office manager. Miller is a
22-year veteran of HDR.
Baker Barrios Architects of
Orlando promoted Isa Jermano,
Jessica Randolph and Scott
Martin to associates. Jermano is responsible for the
design of professional and private facilities, the preparation
of contracts for building contractors and directing activities
of prepared drawings and specification documents.
Randolph manages and coordinates project teams and is instrumental
in the development and preparation of documents. Martin directs
and coordinates planning and design projects.
Chris Sadowski was promoted
to senior project manager and Richard
Semenick to senior superintendent for Skanska
USA Building in Orlando. Sadowski has been with the
company for eight years, and Semenick for five years.
Robert Burkhart was named plant
manager for Hanson Roof Tile's
Deerfield Beach facility. Burkhart replaces former plant manager
Dewayne Holcomb, who moves to manage Hanson's new Sanderson,
Fla., facility near Jacksonville.
Burkhart has nearly 20 years of manufacturing management
experience.
Ryan Horstman has joined WilsonMiller
in Tampa to provide environmental support. Horstman earned
a bachelor's degree in environmental science and policy at
the University of South Florida.
Owens Ames Kimball Co. hired
C. Burton Adams and Charles
Costantinou as superintendents for the company's Southwest
Florida operations.
Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo
of Orlando has hired Don Allison
as senior technical designer, Katie
Hoyt as interior designer and Richard
Zatta as senior designer.
Prior to joining WATG, Allison worked at Cuhaci & Peterson
Architects. Hoyt will work in all phases of projects and assist
with furnishing layouts, color and material boards, drawing
preparation, CAD documentation, free-hand sketching and REVIT
interior work.
Zatta has worked in the industry for 14 years and specializes
in master planning, landscape design, hand-rendering, line
drawings and model-building.
John P. Sullivan III was promoted
to principal at Foster Conant &
Associates, a landscape architecture practice in Orlando.
He formerly served as associate principal.
Todd H. Varney was promoted
to executive vice president of Rendina
Companies, a medical real estate development company
based in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Varney previously served
as senior vice president.
Also, Doug Lerner was named
executive vice president of construction and development.
VOA Associates, an architecture,
planning and interior design firm based in Orlando, announced
the following employees have been named senior associates:
Craig Livingston, Beverly
Currin, Kelly Kim and
David Mager.
Greg Miller has joined The
ADP Group, a Sarasota-based architecture, interior
design and planning firm as its accountant.
Bryan C. Zeigler has joined
engineering firm Neel-Schaffer's
Vero Beach, Fla., office. Zeigler will work on site development
and land surveying activities.
