Daniel G. Shephard and Bruce
A. Vaio have been elected as executive vice presidents
of Martin Marietta Materials
of Raleigh, N.C. The company also announced the promotion
of Anne H. Lloyd and Roselyn
R. Bar to senior vice presidents.
Shephard currently has responsibility for the magnesia specialties
division and aggregates operations in Indiana, Ohio, West
Virginia, Virginia and Maryland. He is also responsible for
business development, capital planning and operations services.
Vaio is responsible for the company's aggregates operations
in the Southwest and will be responsible for all of the company's
western operations.
Lloyd joined Martin Marietta in 1998 as controller and chief
accounting officer. She most recently served as chief financial
officer.
Bar is general counsel and corporate secretary and also manages
the corporate environment, land and natural resources function.
Victor Alfonso has joined
MGE Architects of Coral Gables, Fla., as a project
architect. Also, Lina Benedetti has
joined the firm as an interior designer.
Also, Luz Glickman has rejoined
the firm as a project architect. Ana
Maria Valle has joined the firm as an interior designer.
Kent Black was promoted to
vice president for HNTB's Southeast
division in Lake Mary, Fla. Also, Luis
Diaz was promoted to associate vice president.
Lex Collins was also promoted
to associate vice president in the firm's Orlando structures
department. He supports multiple offices for the design of
large bridge projects.
In Jacksonville, HNTB appointed Dave
Evans to vice president. Evans serves as the officer-in-charge
of HNTB's Jacksonville office.
In Miami, Stephen Cooper has
joined the firm as a professional geologist in the environmental
department. He will serve as an assistant project manager
for the South Florida Water Management
District's "Acceler8" program for upcoming Comprehensive
Everglades Restoration Plan projects.
Additionally, Christopher Amour
has joined the firm as part of the management team for the
Florida Turnpike's Turkey Lake Traffic Management Center.
Also, Mike Shannon has joined
the Lake Mary office as a project manager III in the highway
department. Doug Newlon also
transferred to Lake Mary and will serve as senior project
manager in the highway department. Also joining the Lake Mary
office were Hamid (Ray) Bahrami,
who was named an engineer III in the highway department, and
Donna Hernandez, a senior scheduler.
Kimberlee B. DeBosier, of Bayside
Engineering in Tampa, was named "2005 Engineer
of the Year" by the Florida Engineering Society in Tallahassee.
DeBosier is the first woman to receive the honor in its 45-year
history. She also received the "2005 Community Service
Award" from the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers.
Gary Mooney has been promoted
to territory general manager for ACI
Construction Services in Daytona Beach, Fla. Mooney,
who joined ACI in May, has more than 30 years of construction
management experience
Lee B. Walton has been named
senior planner/urban designer at MACTEC
Engineering & Consulting in Kennesaw, Ga. Walton's
responsibilities will include planning and zoning; master/redevelopment/recreation/industrial
and transportation planning; grant writing and administration;
urban design; facility planning and architecture.
Harvard Jolly, an architecture
firm, announced the addition of Tania
Bittencourt, Andrew MacFarlane
and Alicia Cuomo to its Fort
Lauderdale, Fla., offices. Bittencourt and MacFarlane will
serve as technical support, while Cuomo is an administrative
assistant.
The firm also announced the addition of Shaine
Bravo, Kevin Taterus
and Chiquita Baker to its Fort
Myers office. Bravo and Taterus will serve as technical support,
while Baker will work as administrative assistant..
Adache Group Architects of
Pensacola, Fla., recently added Tony
Noles, Ivo Alcala and
David Murphy to its Pensacola
office. The group has more than 50 years of collective industry
experience.
GeoSurv3, a 23-person surveying
and engineering firm based in the Tampa Bay area, has joined
Naples, Fla.-based WilsonMiller.
The GeoSurv3 engineering staff will be incorporated into WilsonMiller's
Channelside and North Tampa/Pasco offices. Survey staff will
remain in the former GeoSurv3 office located in Lutz.
Dayne Piercefield will continue
in a consultant capacity for WilsonMiller. Jerold
Long will assume the role of regional manager for WilsonMiller
survey and mapping and partner Greg
Hentschel will take the position of senior project
manager and will continue to oversee a variety of land development
projects.
Also, the Tampa office of WilsonMiller hired geographic information
systems project manager Lauren Shapiro.
Additionally, Robert A. Chapman,
in WilsonMiller's Tampa office, has been named a principal.
Wyatt Payne has been promoted
to division manager of The Stellar
Group's distribution division in Jacksonville, Fla.
His responsibilities include coordinating and reviewing distribution
project activities and progress among the division's design
and construction personnel.
Kathleen O'Neil has joined
PBS&J's waste management
program in Orlando as a senior project manager. She will assist
the firm's hazardous waste and remediation programs and will
also support water resource-related programs.
In West Palm Beach, PBS&J appointed Jeffrey
Herr as program manager in the water resources program.
Herr will be working throughout Florida and the Southeastern
U.S. on all types of water resources projects.
Also, Joseph A. Sawmiller Jr.
has joined the firm's Tampa office as a senior project manager
in the aviation services division.
HDR's Bobby
Clair has been named a "2005 Trendsetter"
by Public Works magazine. The list recognizes top leaders
in the public works community, including those who have defined
policy, brought their community or an issue into the spotlight,
or set a standard within the industry.
Clair is HDR's South Carolina program manager, based in Charleston.
Prior to joining HDR, he was director of engineering for special
projects for the South Carolina Department of Transportation,
where he led the construction of the $540 million Cooper River
Bridge, or Arthur Ravenel Bridge, project in Charleston.
Bill Schultz has been named
senior roofing consultant for Ardaman
& Associates. He will be working from the firm's
newly established office in Holiday, Fla.
Sharen Hannah has been named
director for the City of Lauderdale Lakes' newly created Office
of Engineering and Construction Management. Hannah
previously served as director of public works for the city
from 1998 to 2000. This office was created to administer the
city's $15 million "Great Lakes" general obligation
bond program. Hannah's responsibilities will include planning,
organizing, directing and supervising all projects funded
under the bond program.
Aaron Peterson has joined The
ADP Group, a Sarasota-based architecture, interior
design and planning firm, as an interior design associate.
Peterson has five years of professional interior design and
architectural design experience..
Michael Rollock has joined
specialty contractor Harmon Inc.'s
Boynton Beach, Fla., office as a senior project manager.
Also, Bruce Whitfield has been
promoted in Harmon's Tampa office to service and small contract
supervisor.
Tim Ruff has joined
Friedrich Watkins as president of the general contracting
company's new Tampa office. Ruff has 20 years of experience
in commercial construction, and most recently served as president
of Wal-Mark Contracting Group since its founding in 1985.
Asbury Minus joined the Christiano
Construction Co. in Clearwater, Fla. Minus brings more
than 20 years of construction experience, and is working as
project manager
Jennifer Fox has been named
as the new human resources manager for TEREX
Cranes in Wilmington, N.C.
Kim Vogler has joined CondoHQ
Orlando LLC as marketing director. The condominium
brokerage firm is an affiliate of Olde Town Brokers.
Andrew Agoos has joined Neff
Rental of Miami as vice president of fleet. In this
capacity, Agoos will reinforce the company's maintenance standards,
administer equipment acquisition and manage equipment disposition.
He has more than 40 years experience in fleet and equipment
management.
