C. Robert Campbell has been
named executive vice president and chief financial officer
for MasTec Inc., the Coral Gables, Fla.-based telecommunications
contractor. Campbell has more than 25 years of senior financial
management experience. Immediately prior to joining MasTec,
he was executive vice president and CFO for TIMCO Aviation
Services, where he headed all financial and legal functions
and was instrumental in its restructuring and turnaround.
Austin J. Shanfelter, MasTec's
president and CEO stated, "Bob Campbell's appointment
as our new CFO is another big step in rebuilding our corporate
team."
Jeffrey L. Schantz has joined
the Atlanta office of architectural firm Hellmuth, Obata and
Kassabaum as vice president and leader of the firm's science
and technology division. Here he will assist HOK's plans for
increased activity within the education, research and science
facilities markets throughout the U.S. and in the Southeast.
Schantz has more than 19 years of experience designing facilities
for colleges and universities, research institutions, federal
government agencies, biotech and pharmaceutical clients. With
previous employers, Schantz has designed projects for clients
such as Jet Propulsion Laboratory/NASA, Oak Ridge National
Laboratory, Duke University, Siemens, the U.S. Department
of Agriculture and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Brian Kelley has joined Hedrick
Brothers Construction of West Palm Beach as vice president
of pre-construction services, where he will be involved in
business development activities and contract negotiations.
Kelley has more than 20 years of experience in the construction
industry, most recently serving as executive director of the
Florida East Coast Chapter of Associated General Contractors.
Prior to that, he had worked as the vice president and general
sales manager for Steel Fabricators LLC.
Michael D. Miller has been
named vice president of business development at Skanska USA
Building's Atlanta office. In this role, Miller will be responsible
for strategic planning and business development supporting
Skanska's Georgia account managers.
Miller is a registered architect and has more than 30 years
experience in design and construction management. For the
past four years, he served as senior vice president and managing
principal for the Atlanta office of HOK. Prior to that, he
had a 21-year tenure with Atlanta-based Heery International.
Michael White has joined Jones
Edmunds & Associates' Jacksonville, Fla., office as water/wastewater
discipline director. White has more than 32 years of engineering
and managerial experience in the planning and design of wastewater
and water treatment and pumping facilities, wastewater collection
and transmission lines, storm water, hazardous waste and solid
waste projects.
Heath Miller has been named
project estimator at ACI, Atlanta. Miller has more than seven
years of experience in construction and is responsible for
preconstruction services including estimating, budgeting and
value engineering. He previously worked for Kvaerner, now
known as Skanska USA.
Winsome A. Bowen has joined
architecture-and-engineering firm HDR's Miami Lakes office
as a senior transportation planner. Bowen will lead the company's
South Florida transportation planning practice. Prior to joining
HDR, she was a senior associate/project manager at Bermello
Ajamil & Partners. Bowen is an urban planner with 12 years
of experience in transportation and land-use planning.
Michael Moore recently joined
Summit Contractors of Jacksonville, Fla., as divisional vice
president. He has more than 30 years of experience in commercial
and multifamily construction.
Rick Mahoney recently joined
the construction management firm of Christiano Construction
Co. in Clearwater, Fla., as a project manager. Mahoney has
more than 15 years of construction experience.
HNTB recently hired several individuals at its Orlando and
Lake Mary offices. In the construction services department,
Robert Morphonios was hired
as a senior field engineer and Ronald
Anderson was named an inspector.
Jeffrey W. Messenger was hired
as a project manager in the firm's highway design group.
Charles R. Froneberger has
been named senior project manager for WK Dickson & Co.'s
Charlotte office. He will be responsible for the design and
management of a variety of environmental and water resources-related
projects.
Cement Industries Inc., Fort Myers, Fla., recently appointed
three new vice presidents: Anthony
Grande, vice president of operations; David
Gorrell, vice president of administration/engineering;
and Clifford Smiley, vice president
of human resources/safety.
Robert Fernandez has joined
The Stellar Group of Jacksonville, Fla., as vice president
of the International Division. Responsibilities include the
coordination and supervision of all project personnel within
the division.
Steve Arrington has joined
Willis A. Smith Construction, Sarasota, as project manager.
Arrington has 10 years of experience working as an engineer,
cost estimator and construction manager.
Maura Dersh has joined Gallo
Architects & Development Consultants of Deerfield Beach,
Fla., as a project manager. Dersh, who brings 21 years professional
experience to the company, is responsible for project management
and quality control for many of the firm's projects in the
healthcare, educational, retail and commercial industries.
Jody Ogaz has been named hurricane
product manager for Oldcastle Glass, Tampa. Ogaz will be responsible
for promoting the company's hurricane impact-resistant glass
business.
Ken Vick has joined the Lee
County Port Authority in Fort Myers, Fla., as director of
engineering and construction. He oversees budgets, schedules
and consultants involved in construction projects at Southwest
Florida International Airport. Vick has 17 years of airport
engineering experience.
Elizabeth Benac, regional manager
for community and regional planning at WilsonMiller in Naples,
Fla., was a recently awarded the position of principal. With
more than 24 years experience as a land use planner, Benac
oversees projects that require development review and permitting.
Lauren Brey has joined Orlando-based
Hughes Supply as director, corporate communications. Brey
will be the company's principal contact with business, consumer
and trade media. She has more than 10 years of experience
in corporate communications, public relations and marketing.
