David M. Pupkiewicz has been
hired by The Haskell Co. of
Jacksonville, Fla., as the new director for its transportation
division. As director of project development, Pupkiewicz will
develop relationships with clients and expand the division's
market share through business development and general operational
responsibilities.
Pupkiewicz comes to Haskell from Martin K. Eby Construction
in Orlando where he was the business development manager for
the southeast division.
The company also hired a new vice president of information
technology. In this position, Ortez Gude will be responsible
for the company's information technology department. Gude
comes to Haskell from Beers Construction Co., in Atlanta,
where he served as vice president and chief information officer.
Alvaro E. Alonso recently joined
HDR as a transportation senior
project manager in the company's Miami Lakes location. With
nearly 10 years experience in transportation engineering-related
design and field work, Alonso has been involved in multiple
projects around the state of Florida. Most recently he served
with HNTB Corp. as deputy project manager/lead design engineer.

Robert Alderman has joined
HNTB's Jacksonville, Fla., office
as the head of its transportation department. He will be responsible
for marketing the office's transportation engineering capabilities
and managing transportation staff and projects.
Catherine Coslick has joined
the firm's Orlando office as an aviation planner. A recent
transfer from the company's Arlington, Va., office, Coslick
has experience in airport master planning, terminal concession
planning and economic impact analyses.

Hennessy Construction Services,
St. Petersburg, Fla., recently appointed Damian
Slaughter to the position of assistant project manager,
and Jon McConnell to the position
of project superintendent.

Lynn Harden has been promoted to the Fort Myers division
manager for Tri-City Electrical Contractors.
Harden, is a 34-year veteran of the electrical contracting
industry, and has been with Tri-City since 1993.
Michael Stratton has been appointed
service manager for Tri-City's Fort Myers Division of Tri-City
Electrical Contractors. Stratton has over 30 years of experience
in commercial electrical contracting and service. Also, Allen
Clark, with 15 years of electrical contracting experience,
has been appointed estimating manager for the Fort Myers division.

Candi Newell was recently hired
as administrative assistant for Autobuilders
General Contracting Services, West Palm Beach, Fla.
Newell will provide administrative support to Autobuilders'
marketing, estimating and contract departments.

Cannon Design of Jacksonville,
Fla., recently announced that Thomas
D. Jennings and Jeff Akus
have joined the firm's staff as designers.

Harmon, a specialty glazing
contractor with offices in Orlando, recently announced several
staff appointments. The company promoted Dave
Brasch to regional general manager for the Southeast
region including Orlando, Tampa and Boynton Beach, Fla. Also,
Rich Mauser has been promoted
to regional sales manager. Kevin Palmberg
has been hired to fill Brasch's former position as
general manager for Orlando.

David Otterness was recently
promoted to the position of project manager at Sarasota, Fla.-based
Willis A Smith Construction.
He previously served as assistant project manager.

Peter A. Govetoso, Jr. recently
joined Christiano Construction Co.
in Clearwater, Fla., as a project manager. He has 35 years
of construction experience.

Valerie L. Jackson recently
joined the Atlanta office of WK Dickson
as the firm's newest airport project designer. Jackson's background
includes work as an airport analyst for the Boeing Co. and
as a Navigational Aid project engineer for the Federal Aviation
Administration.
Based in Charlotte, N.C., WK Dickson is a multi-disciplined
consulting firm specializing in community infrastructure projects.

The Stellar Group
of Jacksonville, Fla., recently announced several vice president
promotions. Humberto Lopez was
promoted to vice president of Stellar's process division,
where he will be responsible for developing and managing projects.
Scott Baldwin was also named
vice president within the process division. He will be responsible
for developing and managing projects for the dairy and bakery
industries.
Todd Allsup also was promoted
to vice president in the firm's process division. Allsup's
responsibilities include identification, qualification and
development of prospective clients within the food industry.
Also, Mark Lowery has been
named vice president for Stellar's refrigeration division.
He will oversee the execution of all design, fabrication,
installation and maintenance of industrial refrigeration projects.

The Central Florida Builders Exchange,
Winter Park, Fla., announced its 2004 leadership. Officers
include: chairman - Bill Finfrock,
Finfrock Design-Manufacture- Construct; vice chairman - Bill
Mathews, J.B. Mathews Co.; secretary - Bill
Ellis, Ellis Mechanical Corp.; and treasurer - Sandra
Saft, Window Interiors.

Mel Meineke has been named
the new vice president of corporate marketing for Orlando-based
Hughes Supply. Meineke most
recently was the vice president of marketing at Hagemeyer
North America. The company also announced the realigning of
its sales and marketing department as the "Marketing
and Vendor Development Group."
Meineke will report to Senior Vice President Bob Machaby.
