Hardin Construction Co. of
Atlanta recently promoted Skip Loman
to construction manager and Carl Brass to senior superintendent.
Loman joined Hardin in 2000, bringing over 20 years of construction
experience. For Hardin, he has managed a 1 million-sq.-ft.
office building at Marta Lindbergh and is currently managing
the first office building at Atlantic Station in Atlanta.
Brass is a 19-year veteran of Hardin, and most recently completed
the 14-story, 500,000-sq.-ft. Centergy One Office Building
in midtown Atlanta.
Brian Terrell has been promoted
to executive vice president in the Atlanta office of The
Staubach Co., a full-service international real estate
strategy and services firm. Terrell is also the recent recipient
of the national 2003 Champion of Excellence Award, the highest
honor bestowed on an employee of The Staubach Co.
Terrell leads Staubach's Design & Construction Consulting
Services Practice Group, which provides project management,
design and construction consulting services for clients.
The Staubach Co. is a real estate advisory firm that works
with the users of office, industrial and retail space. Areas
of expertise include site selection, acquisition and disposition,
financing, and design and construction consulting.

Roy Rucks recently joined the
staff of the Construction Education
Foundation of Georgia as director of operations. Rucks
will oversee daily operations of CEFGA, including its adult
training programs and its high-school outreach efforts. He
formerly served as principal of Maxwell High School of Technology.

Steven Sorensen has joined
WCI Communities as vice president
and senior project manager leading development and construction
activity at the firm's One Bal Harbour luxury high-rise in
Bal Harbour, Fla. With more than 20 years experience in the
industry, Sorensen will be responsible for WCI's activity
in the marketplace as well as project-management activities.

Jeffrey A. Proctor was recently promoted to the position
of vice president of safety and training at MIL-CON
of Jacksonville, Fla. In this newly created position, Proctor
will develop and implement an overall curriculum to provide
career training to project managers and superintendents. The
training will focus on safety but will also include additional
skills such as cost control, personnel management, owner/client
relations and leadership.

Debra A. Lupton, principal,
vice president and CEO-designate of TLC
Engineering for Architecture, Orlando, has been selected
to participate in Leadership Florida, an organization of professional
and civic leaders.
Lupton has 23 years experience in architecture, engineering,
professional marketing services, commercial real estate and
auctioneering, and for 10 years served as director of marketing
for Orlando-based TLC.
Leadership Florida produces programs for executives, local
government officials, legislators, grassroots leaders and
top student leaders encouraging leadership and promoting statewide
community.

Mike Walters has been named
safety director for H.J. Foundation,
a foundation contractor based in Miami. In this capacity,
Walters is responsible for the company's safety program and
policies, compliance with the safety program from all employees
and managing loss prevention.
Areas he will direct include crane operations safety, job
site hazard analysis, CPR and first-aid training, fleet safety
programs for drivers and general safety enforcement policies.
Walters also will be involved in ensuring that all employees
complete the necessary company training as well as Occupational
Safety and Health Administration courses.
Walters previously worked as the project safety manager for
a full-service provider of construction services, and headed
up a project at Barksdale Air Force Base.

Michael Dillard has been appointed
vice president of business development at Mechanical
Services Inc., Orlando. He is a 17-year veteran of
Florida's commercial/industrial mechanical contracting and
service industry.

Bretton A. Raymaker has joined
Willis A. Smith Construction
of Sarasota, Fla., as an assistant project manager. Raymaker
graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of
Florida's School of Building Construction.

Christiano Construction Co.
of Clearwater, Fla., recently named Ernie G. Speeks and Robert
V. Bartell to the position of project superintendent.
Speeks has 33 years of construction experience, while Bartell
has 25 years of experience in the construction industry.

Maurice Harris has joined the
accounting department of PSA Constructors,
Orlando, as a financial analyst. Harris is responsible for
project budgeting and ongoing financial analysis.

Ben Mann was recently
named to the newly created position of regional support specialist
for Thompson Pump. In this position,
Mann will assist Thompson pump users, distributors and sales
staff with applications expertise.
Mann will cover an area that includes Georgia, South Carolina
and North Carolina and extends as far north as Maryland and
Delaware.
