UCF to Receive Endowment
for School of Real Estate
The Central Florida chapter of the National Association of
Industrial and Office Properties, based in Orlando, announced
a fundraising commitment to help the University of Central
Florida establish an endowment for the development of a real-estate
degree program within UCF's College of Business Administration.

Number Gets Thumbs Up From AGC
The Associated General Contractors of America voiced its
approval of 811, a national three-digit telephone number approved
by the Federal Communications Commission to prevent construction
mishaps and utilities damage during excavation. An AGC spokesperson
said, "Soon homeowners and farmers, as well as contractors
who work in multiple states will be able to make a call to
locate underground facilities with less confusion and more
efficiency."
ABC Installs New National Chairman-Elect
Jack Darnall with Brasfield & Gorrie of Birmingham, Ala.,
was sworn in as Associated Builders and Contractors' national
chairman-elect during the association's recent national convention
in Orlando. He joined the company in 1984 and has more than
20 years experience on healthcare projects.
New Website Addresses Stormwater Treatment
and Management
StormwaterAuthority, based in Wilmot N.H., announced the
launch of a new website - StormwaterAuthority.org.
The Internet site provides information on stormwater regulations
by state, best management practices and a library of papers
and research by industry experts. The site is an updated version
of Stormwater-Resources.com.
