Central Florida ABC Opens New Headquarters

The Central Florida Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors opened its new 15,000-sq.-ft. headquarters in Orlando recently. Efforts to build the facility began in 2003 with the purchase of a 1.8-acre site on the city's eastern side.

The general contractor for the project was Aagaard-Juergensen of Orlando, who started construction in November 2003 with member companies donating nearly one third of the development costs in labor and materials.

The association plans to lease 6,000 sq. ft on the first floor and sell its former facility in Winter Park, Fla.

The Central Florida Chapter was founded in 1973 and represents the interests of contractors through government relations, education, training and networking.
